Crime Report

Neighborhood Security Update

Good morning, Clayton Woods. If you saw flashing police lights going through our subdivision recently, don’t be alarmed. That’s just our neighborhood security, HPD Officer Richberg, making his regular security check.

For your convenience, we have compiled an up-to-date crime report for the neighborhood so you can see what is going on here, and all around you.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Dept., there were over 8000 crimes committed in the 77082 zip code over the last six months.

In the more immediate Clayton Woods area, you can see there were more than 100 crimes just to the east of our subdivision, and 79 to the west. There were  284 crimes in total.

For Clayton Woods, over the last six months, there were 3 alleged crimes.

This means that Clayton Woods accounts for just one in every 2700 crimes committed in the 77082 zip code.

Please rest assured that your Clayton Woods HOA is always looking out for you through:

  • Frequent monitoring of crime reports and coordination with Harris County Sheriff’s Dept.
  • Frequent patrols by HPD Officer Richberg
  • The security camera by the front gate

Remember, if you see a suspicious character, or have been broken into yourself, the first thing to do is call the Harris County Sheriff’s Dept. at 713.221.6000. Criminal activity is a police matter. Calling the Sheriff’s Dept. directly and immediately is the fastest and most effective way to get results.

Also, be sure and tell your neighbors. An informed neighborhood is a safe neighborhood. If you see someone suspicious, if you have been broken into, go knock on your neighbor’s door. They will be glad that you did.
